I had a fabulous Mother's Day!  I woke up early because I couldn't sleep. I cleaned out the pool.  I went for a jog.  I came home to get ready for church and while I was in the shower, the kids and Michael set up my favorite breakfast out on the porch... coffee and donuts.  Yum!

We went to church and my brother preached, which is always a treat.  I just hate that our pastor has been so sick.  After church we all came back over to the house and just sat out by the pool all day!

Today was a busy day!  Bo and I headed out to Roswell for his double header.  They won both games, he played awesome and hit really good!  Meanwhile, Michael took Reed and Sophie to Reed's game.  He won his game too.  We all met up in Smyrna so Nana and Grandaddy could keep the kids while Michael and I went to catch up with friends!

This is me and Michael with one of his best friends.  Sean always keeps us laughing!

Reed has several bible verses to memorize for school.  The last one he needs to work on is John 3:16.  I believe he's got it!  I can't believe how precious he is.

Bo had a rough time at the plate this weekend, so he is determined to work on his swing.  When he got home from school today, he did his homework, put his laundry away, then immediately headed outside to "hit some balls."  TWO HOURS later, I found him still outside hitting.  I think we counted up that he hit about 350 balls.  That's 10 buckets!  I love his determination!

There were no baseball games today, so Sophie and I picked up Cheyenne and headed to Taste of Marietta.  We had so much fun just walking around looking at the people and the food.  We even rode a trolly to and from the parking area.  The main event was waiting in line for almost an hour to do the bungee jumps.  This was a big deal for Sophie because she tends to be afraid of heights.  She even braved a few flips toward the end of her time. 

The grand finale was the snow cones!

Reed had his first sleepover with Wheeler yesterday.  He went to the drive-in movies with them.  When they woke up the next morning, they wanted Carey to practice ball with them before their game.

The Royal Wedding!

Sophie and I got up bright and early to watch the wedding of Kate and Prince William.  She wore her tiara and I wore my crown and we sipped tea from the fine china.  I love my girl time with Sophie!

I also made scones.  I need to work on these, they looked good but didn't taste very good.

Mother's Day with Reed

Today I went to spend the day in Reed's class.  He made me a flower corsage, a plant, a book about me and we got to play games together.  It was so much fun and I enjoyed seeing Reed interact with the other kids in his class.

Uh Oh!


I just found out that one of our project houses has a water spot.  We aren't quite sure yet what the problem could be.  There is a new roof on the house, so we are sending the roofer to the house to take a look.
