Birthday Dinner at Mom and Dad's

My favorite springtime meal:  Dad's pork chops on the grill with Mom's cranberry glaze 

I love the savory taste of the pork chops with the sweet glaze.  Mom also made a beautiful strawberry cake for me and I LOVED it!  Don't know why I didn't take a picture of the cake other than I just haven't felt good all week.  Maybe that's also why I chose to wear sweats to my birthday party instead of something a little more dressy like jeans...  While we are on the subject of fashion, Yes, Reed is wearing his Christmas sweatshirt and Yes, Reed is wearing his hair in a mohawk.  He is fascinated by mohawks right now and I'm trying to let him express himself. 

Peach got to play with her dog cousin Luke today.  He was a perfect gentleman.  She was all drama!

I took Peach to the Vet yesterday to get "fixed" but instead we found out that she is having some major kidney issues.  We've put her on a special diet and meds in hopes that her kidneys won't have to work too hard.  Poor baby.

Heart Group on Wednesdays is becoming one of my favorite nights of the week.  Not only do I get to spend some time with some of my favorite people on earth talking and learning about developing my relationship with God, but I also get a really good meal on Wednesdays.  This week, we had BBQ (from Merle's), baked beans, slaw, chips and...

It was an exciting morning here at the house as we all got ready for school.  Sophie just looked too cute not to take a picture!

Reed got to wear his favorite pajamas to school today because it was... PAJAMA DAY! 

And Bo dressed up like Emperor Hirohito of Japan today and had to do a presentation in the hallway of the school.  We did the report, we did the power point slides, now it's time for dressing up.  He made me promise I would not come to the school to take pictures and it almost killed me, but I refrained.

5 days and counting until I turn 40.  It's not so bad I guess. 

I happened to look at my nightstand the other day and then I asked myself, "when did I turn into my GRANDMOTHER?"

I showed houses all day today.  I really enjoy seeing houses with client's / friends but it can be so frustrating for everyone when the houses just don't work.  We are going to find the right one eventually. 

We all decided to head out to La Cocina for dinner, then we came home and everyone crashed.

On a side note, it's my sweet cousin Wayne's birthday today.  I can always remember him being a part of my life.  When we were little, he would play school with me and Tiffany.  As we grew into young adults, he tried to set me up with a few of his friends.  The last of his friends that he would have probably set me up with turned out to be my husband.  Now our kids are growing up to be friends also.  Happy Birthday Wayne.  You are important to me.
